-+Katrina Kaif, who recently returned from a holiday in Prague with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, looked radiant when she turned up for the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Phantom. She was joking with co-star Saif Ali Khan backstage when he pointed out that they had wrapped up the film together without partying even once. Ever the gentleman, he invited Kat and RK to his home for a night with friends, reports Mumbaimirror.com.
Katrina accepted his invitation graciously, and turned up with his wife Kareena Kapoor's cousin. The guest list also included Saif's sister Soha and her husband, Kunal Kemmu, Riteish Deshmukh and his better half Genelia D'Souza, and Arjun Kapoor, who plays Bebo's house husband in R Balki's romcom."Since Arjun was jetting off to Bangkok that night, he made a quick visit but the others stayed on," informs a source.
While looks like Katrina and Kareena are going to be Bollywood's new BFFs, Priyanka Chopra also has a special gift for Deepika Padukone.

Just eight days into its worldwide release, director S.S. Rajamouli’s Telugu/Tamil language blockbuster Baahubali: the Beginning has become the first South Indian film to earn 300 crore rupees (US$47.3 million), crossing that threshold on Saturday. The previous South Indian record holder, S. Shankar’s sci-fi hit Enthiran, earned 283 crore in 2010.
Rajamouli’s battle epic, which stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati as a pair of feuding brothers who fight for control of an ancient kingdom, is the fastest among all Indian films to reach the 100 crore (2 days), 200 crore (5 days), and 300 crore (8 days) thresholds of international box office revenue.

The advice that Salman sir gave me is that Acting mat karna," says Sooraj Pancholi who makes his debut with Hero in September this year. It is ironical that the man who asked his protege not to 'act' and concentrate on the smart fitting of the Jeans he wears, is actually being lauded as worthy of winning the prestigious National Award for his spellbinding performance in Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. So, does Salman Khan deserve the National Award for best actor?
Well, it is too early to say whether Salman Khan deserves the National Award for the year is still young and there can be some brilliant performances in the pipeline in the months to come. He already has stiff competition from his costar Nawazuddin Siddiqui who has delivered a stupendous performance in Badlapur and if the promo of Manjhi The Mountain Man is anything to go by then Nawaz seems to be having another killer performance in that film which can earn him a National Award for best actor.
It would be frivolous to predict who shall win National Award at this stage of the year but going by the emotional chord that Salman's character strikes in Bajrangi Bhaijaan he surely seems worthy of being one of the candidates for winning the prestigious award. A film that strikes gold at the box office need not always be 'all sound and fury signifying nothing'. It has been proven by the critical response to both Bahubali as well as Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Both critics as well as the audience have been wowed by the single minded devotion of Salman in staying true to his character in the film.
Director Kabir Khan breaks the formula that distributors traditionally like to associate with in a Salman Khan film. There are two brief action sequences, no item songs and a short lived romance that doesn't drag the proceedings. When Bajrangi sheds tears, the audience fumbles for their handkerchiefs as well, if he believes in honesty, you could see the enormous earnestness on his face, his bonding with angelic Harshali is so real that you effortlessly push the button of 'suspension of disbelief'. Most importantly, Salman surrenders himself to his director's vision. The magical Nawazuddin is allowed to flourish, which in turn enhances the performance of Khan, making it that much more, larger-than-life. The emotional Tsunami that he triggers along with Harshali in the climax leads to giant waves of tears rocking the entire cinema hall.

Salman
Khan plays Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi aka Bajrangi Bhaijaan, a clean
hearted simpleton, a Hanuman bhakt with loyalty inherited from his
father towards RSS. And he is refreshingly not the typical dude ready to
throw punches in the air at any moment guy. On the contrary, he is the
antithesis of a typical Salman Khan character; he is modest, peaceful
and bows down even when he spots a monkey. Pawan meets Rasika (Kareena
Kapoor Khan) when he comes to Delhi from UP to stay with his father's
friend's family. His idyllic, simple life takes a turn when he
encounters a six year old child, Munni aka Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra)
from Pakistan and he takes it upon himself to return her to her family. -

This movie portrays secularism in an unpreachy, fun way. No taxing jingoism, no chest beating dialogues, instead you are served self-effacing humour and smart lines (Dialogues by Kabir Khan and Kausar Munir). Some scenes and dialogues make an impact, like the one when Pawan tells Chand that, 'Bajrangi hamari madad karenge, he asks him jokingly yahan Pakistan me bhi?'. Or the one during a more serious moment Chand poignantly says, 'Yahan nafrat bikti hai, mohabbat nahi' (taking a dig at the media).
The story (by V.Vijayendra Prasad) is about conversion. No, not the archaic one religion to another kind, but of the humane variety; from being conditioned to be rigid about one's own religion to peacefully accepting to co-exist with the unique ways of other religions.
Wah Bhai Wah: Salman Khan's endearing bond with kids on screen
Too many convenient co-incidences, a few loopholes and over the top at places, are the flaws in the film which you want to overlook because of the good intention, right emotional pitch and sensitive handling of a story which could easily create trouble in the current, inflammable circumstances. Kabir Khan gustily walks a tight rope here and one must hand it over to him for managing to keep the right balance.
Salman Khan pleasantly surprises with his un-hero like performance, Kareena doesn't have much to do and you wish she did and Nawazuddin, who's trusted to make his characters most believable is perfectly cast. But it is the little Harshaali Malhotra who will steal your heart with her angelic face and evidently natural talent.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan says Baahubali is a good film and our (Bollywood) cinema should try to match its success.
"We don't think we can do that much like (Baahubali jitna toh nahi kar payegi). Of course it (box office) scares me," Salman said when asked if box office numbers scare him considering the recent business that Baahubali did.Baahubali is a good film but our cinema should make those numbers. Do we need their cinema for that numbers?" the Kick protagonist said.
Baahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli, starring Rana Dagubatti, Prantas, Anushka Shetty, Tamaannah Bhatia hit the screens on 10 July and has reportedly earned over Rs 200 crore
at the box office.
Filmmaker Karan Johar has presented SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali in Hindi.
49-year-old Salman has produced two films - Bajrangi Bhaijaan in which he plays the lead role.
The next movie is the Hero remake that marks acting debut of Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty.
"A good producer is the one who understands a good script. I wanted to make Hero remake with Sooraj and Athiya as it is a fabulous script," Salman added.

With the release of the first look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani, apart from Ranveer Singh's Maratha warrior look, we also got a glimpse of Deepika Padukone as the warrior queen Mastani. Sporting what looks slightly like a helmet, and aiming at arrow, Deepika looks every bit a warrior.
Meanwhile, there's a huge buzz around this year's biggest epic saga film Baahubali. The pictures of the male leads are splashed all over the posters of the film. There's great interest in Prabhas and Rana, every detail of their work out sessions and diet have been probed by the media.
But there is close to negligible information about the women in Baahubali. All we've heard is that Tamannah Bhatia plays Prabhas' love interest, but very few know about Sivagami, the queen of the royal family of Maheshmathi, and a mother figure to Prabhas and Rana. If you haven't seen the film yet, watch out for her character, it's pretty badass.
So Bajirao Mastani sent us digging for instances of women playing warriors and suchlike in Hindi costume dramas.
_______________________________________________________________________________
The first poster of Bajirao Mastani created a stir and now with the long teaser, this seems to be like a another blockbuster coming from Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Starring Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh, this historical romance film centres around the life of Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao I, his wife Kashibai, and Mastani, his second wife. Typical to a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, the teaser gives a glimpse into a larger than life story, elaborate sets, expensive jewellery and a visual treat for the eyes! Intense and powerful with a story to tell, the teaser is a hit coming from the SLB camp.
With the teaser generating so much excitement, read on to know what was the reaction to the first poster, and things to look forward to in this film...

This week started with the second part of Nick V. Shawn. Luckily, that was over after three minutes and we got to move away from eskimo brothers and onto Ben H.’s overnight, AKA the #bestsleepoverever.
Let me just say this: Ben H. won my heart in week one, and after that overnight, I was convinced if Kaitlyn Bristowe doesn’t pick him, he should definitely be the next Bachelor. I mean, they stayed in a castle for their overnight, which totally felt fitting. Also, she only got half an hour of sleep. Wink, wink.____________________________________________________________________________
I’ve got to say, Kaitlyn has had a lot of contestants that have been the full package: honest, sweet, attractive, and real. However, Ben H. would hands down be the best next ‘Bachelor.’
We really don’t need to list the reasons here, since, let’s be honest — Ben H. won your heart on The Bachelorette week after week, every single Monday. However, he just kept getting better so we thought, why not make a list of reasons we love him.______________________________________________________________________________

He is the 'man' of all seasons and all reasons. He is the 'man' whom every guy wants to be like and every girl wants to be with. He is the 'man' who not just rules, but also governs the box-office. We are talking about none other than Salman Khan, the very man who is all geared up to take the box-office by storm with his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Satish Sundaresan of Bollywood Hungama met up with Salman Khan for an in depth interview. Over to the Bhaijaan himself…
Salman, to start with, is Bajrangi Bhaijaan yet another film, in which you, once again play the 'super hero'? Or does it have something different to offer as compared to your last films?
The character that I play in the film is that of a simpleton. At the same time, he is a true 'hero', in the real sense of the word. Look, there is one hero who beats up (the goons) and then becomes the hero. And then, there is a hero, who gets beaten up for someone else, despite the fact that he is aware that he can very well stand up and bash the opposite person. This person is very well aware of the fact that if he beats up the opposite person, he will only mess things up. That's why he prefers to get beaten… only for the sake of someone (close). Even though my character in Bajrangi Bhaijaan is that of a simpleton, the backdrop in which the story of the film has been set is so large that gradually my character in the film becomes as large as the film's backdrop. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is basically my character's journey towards becoming a better person and in a very positive manner.
What is that one thing that will always be etched in your mind from the movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan?
Whichever movies that I am doing now, if my character is a noble one, I ensure that I try to retain as much as 70-80 percent of (my character) in my real life personality. The characters that I do are always larger than life... larger than my life I mean! The films that I am doing right now have definitely helped me and others to be a better person in life. Having said that let me also add that, amidst all this, the naughtiness of my characters and the entertainment factor just won't go away! (smiles).
Has your father seen Bajrangi Bhaijaan? If yes, what has been his reaction?
Yes, my father has seen the film and he absolutely loved it. His reaction was 'I haven't seen a film like Bajrangi Bhaijaan in the last 20-25 years.'
This is the first time when you have shot your film in Kashmir. How was the 'Valley experience'?
Yes, this is the first time when I shot a film in Kashmir. The last time I had been there was during the Kargil war. It's rightly said that 'Kashmir is definitely heaven on earth'. I just hope that life opens up for the people staying there. The Kashmiris are absolutely lovely people, who deserve a real lovely life. One just cannot live in heaven and experience hell. The people out there are very simple and are extremely down to earth. One could simply look at their faces and their expressions to distinguish between a Kashmiri person and a non-Kashmiri. People say that 'one should go to Kashmir before you die.' But, I would say that one should go at least 10-15 times to Kashmir.
Will you shoot your future films in Kashmir as well?
Yes, very much.
Is it true that Kashmir doesn't have theatres?
Yes, it is true that Kashmir doesn't have any theatres! That is the first thing that I asked them at the press conference which was held there. I was shocked to know that while the full family likes to watch movies together, still, they don't have theatres. I feel that with the advent of theatres, Kashmir will surely and definitely progress. They will start getting entertainment tax and there will be growth.
Please tell us as to how the cute and adorable little girl Harshaali came on board for the film?
She is a lovely girl. Back then, we always knew that if we did not get the girl of our choice, we can always fall back to Kabir Khan's daughter Sairu. Speaking about Harshaali, she came to me without any inhibitions and said that, 'Please make me a superstar like you'. I said, 'Beta, let me become a superstar first!' (smiles). After the selection, the film's makers did some classes and workshops with her. She used to freak out only when she used to see action and aggression.
Unlike your usual regulars, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has music composed by Pritam. Any specific reason for this?
Kabir Khan had promised to work with Pritam in his next film. That's why. As far as he gives us good music, it is ok. At the end of the day, it is all about the music.
You are working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the second time. How was it?
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and I used to work out together and spend time if we weren't shooting. We had a nice time working with each other.
Recently, Kareena said that 'Salman doesn't know how big of a superstar he is'. Don't you consider yourself as a superstar?
No, I don't consider myself as a superstar at all! I am only doing my job and the director's only enhancing your performance and the DoP's enhancing you and your look 10 times more, and the efforts and the hard work of the technicians. Since I am in reality check with all these factors, I don't consider myself as a superstar at all.
How true are the rumors about Sajid Nadiadwala getting all you three Khans in a film?
No (smiles).
Do you think that such a film is possible anytime?
Economically, it won't be possible, unless he (Sajid Nadiadwala) plans to have one or two shots of all three of us (the Khans) in the film!
Speaking about economics, can't you all come down on the remuneration for such a film?
It has taken us a whole 27 years to reach where we are today!
You are someone who effortlessly excels in portraying the strong characters with as much ease as the simple ones. Do these 'personalities' come naturally to you?
In my own space, yes, they do come naturally to me. I am pretty capable of taking stands and no matter what; I will take a stand of the things that I firmly believe in. My characters are basically all of these things put together.

LOS ANGELES – Barbara Bowman says she has spent the last 30 years suffering the consequences of being one of dozens of alleged Bill Cosby rape victims, but she is now determined to use her traumatic experience to help others.
Bowman has joined forces with other victims and Hollywood psychologists to front the nonprofit organization Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment (PAVE) in a quest not only to bring awareness to one of the oldest and dirtiest open Hollywood secrets, but to educate the industry’s power players from executives and agents to managers, casting directors and performers on how to handle situations regarding sexual abuse.
According to the former actress, the anonymity will be in place as actresses fear being blacklisted for speaking out; something she said is still very real for anyone who dares “rock the boat.”
“There is still some hesitation there for the talent because it is such a difficult thing to deal with and because the talent is conditioned not to say anything because they could lose their job,” Bowman explained. “Actors and actresses – we are a dime a dozen. So fine, if you are not going to comply and you are not going to go in a certain direction then they will find someone else. Girls know that and it is really sad.”
Bowman also stressed that women – men too – behind the camera and in different realms of production also go through the harrows of abuse and harassment, and too fear going public.
“No one is really dealing with this in Hollywood,” she continued, pointing out that the notion of one using their status to manipulate aspiring stars is hardly unique to Cosby. “This is out there and it is very real. It’s not something that we are just going to fix and get it over with. It is going to be an ongoing effort forever.”
Bowman – now an artist and mother-of-two based in Arizona – said that not only are victims scared of the job ramifications, but some are too in denial, thus she hopes her programs with PAVE will provide a “safe place.” But since penning an op-ed in the Washington Post last November when the Cosby scandal started to gain momentum, Bowman – who has been public with Cosby claims for a decade and says no one took her seriously – told us that scores of others have since reached out, claiming to also have been victims.
“It is pure relief. I hadn’t realized there were 49 (alleged victims),” she said. “And there are many more who have chosen not to be public or who have taken other measures to get their situations handled.”
Last Monday, unsealed court documents from a confidentially settled 2005 lawsuit against Cosby by Andrea Constand were made public by the Associated Press. This included a testimony from the star that he got Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, as well as an admission to giving the sedative to at least one woman and "other people.” The former “Cosby Show” star, now 77, has repeatedly denied any accusations of misbehavior.
“He was always a dangerous man. He threatened me to my face and threatened others and scared us into silence,” Bowman added. “But his day of reckoning has arrived.”

Salman Khan says no to 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' director?
After the box-office success of Aanand L Rai's 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns', 'Ranjhannaa' and 'Tanu Weds Manu', there are very few actors or actresses, who would have had the guts to show the director the door. But if the rumour mills are to be believed, Salman Khan has actually said a clear no to him.
(AFP)
So, what issue did Salman have with the script that Aanand had penned especially for him?
Again, according to certain sections of the Indian media, the macho actor refused as he was offered the role of an unlikely hero in the form of a dwarf. Salman was clearly not interested.
(Sanskriti Media and Entertainment)
Going by Aanand's previous films, this film would also have hints of an offbeat story with loads of emotions thrown in.
The beefy actor has probably become selective about the films that he will be working in ever since his conviction in the hit-and-run case.

Even the most notable of Bollywood actresses have left their religion, mostly for love and marriages. Here are five Indian actresses who changed their religion:-
1. Nargis Dutt
Nargis Dutt was one of the most popular actresses of her time. She was a Muslim who fell in love with her colleague and popular actor Sunil Dutt. Sunil Dutt saved her in an incident when fire broke out on the sets of a movie and Sunil Dutt had come to her rescue. In order to get married to Sunil Dutt, Nargis changed her religion and did it quite fearlessly. The move shocked India, which had partitioned not long ago at the time from Pakistan. Nargis had also adopted a new name upon accepting her Hindu religion and that was Nirmala Dutt.
2. Amrita Singh
Amrita Singh belonged to the Sikh religion and was at crossroads when she and Saif Ali Khan fell in love. In order to get married to Saif Ali Khan, Amrita converted to Islam. She faced stiff opposition from Saif Ali Khan’s parents, who did not approve of Amrita. Her marriage with Saif Ali Khan lasted for 13 long years, after which the two divorced. It is still not confirmed whether she has reverted back to her religion or not. Saif Ali Khan later married Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has made it clear that she would not change her religion and would continue to be a Hindu.
3. Sharmila Tagore

At the peak of her career, Sharmila fell in love with the Nawab of Pataudi, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.
