latest Lollywood News and pakistan fashion and style news July 2015: Fresh updates on pakistan film industry, fresh news on pakistani dramas

When you have Salman Khan in your film, it is pretty much the need of the hour to give him a larger than life introduction.

Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, who has so far worked with relative newcomers like Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor (Gunday), as well as Imran Khan and Ali Zafar (Mere Brother Ki Dulhan) realized that for sure. No wonder, when it came to announcing his next directorial outing Sultan with Salman Khan, he took things in his own hand. Or shall we put it this way, his own voice! He went ahead and not just designed the commentary that went along with the teaser of Sultan; he even got behind the mike and spoke all the lines himself. So right from the moment he presents him as the King of Haryana with the line "Haryane Ki Shaan, Haryane Ka Sher, Haryane Ki Jaan - Sultan Ali Khan" to bringing the mischievous side of Salman with "Sultan Maano Aisa Lag Raha Hai Jaise Dance Kar Raha Ho" to ensuing that there are cheers from those witnessing Salman in action with "Sultan Ka Dhobhi Pachaad", Ali Abbas Zafar gets it right. What works truly for his commentary is the impeccable Haryanvi accent that he uses to take one into the interiors of Haryana and make them familiar with the stage, setting and milieu of Sultan.
Baahubali, India's most expensive film to date, is shining a spotlight on the South Indian film industry — which has long been overshadowed by Bollywood, its more flamboyant northern counterpart.Though most think of Bollywood as the face of Indian cinema, the release of Baahubali, a $40 million US historical action-adventure set in medieval India, could change that.Baahubali film release shines light on South Indian cinema.

TIGER SHERROF will be seen romancing Shraddha Kapoor in Sabbir Khan's Baaghi,

Tiger Shroff, who was last seen in the music video of the Atif Aslam track 'Zindagi Aa Raha Hoon', is now preparing for two films simultaneously. While he will be seen romancing Shraddha Kapoor in Sabbir Khan's Baaghi, Tiger will be paired opposite Jacqueline Fernandez in Remo D'Souza's The Flying Jat. Remo D'Souza who is riding high on the success of ABCD 2 will be soon flying to Bangkok along with the cast and crew for shooting the film but the 'superhero' of the film, Tiger Shroff, will be flying to the Thailand capital a week before the schedule. The actor will apparently undergo a seven day training program for his action sequences in the film. Says a source, "Tiger has to go through a hardcore training to play a superhero in the film. Tiger will fly to Bangkok for the intense training for what he calls the role of a lifetime. While he is already known for his physique and fitness levels, the young actor hopes to push the bar with this one. A special trainer has been appointed to train Tiger while in Bangkok. His look will completely be under wraps and even the rest of the cast and crew will see it only once they start shooting for the film.

Multi-tasker Remo D'Souza barely has time to stop and enjoy the super-success of ABCD 2. He is already planning his next film in the ABCD franchise. Taking time off for a quick conversation Remo says, "I think Siddharth Roy Kapur (producer, UTV) is planning a party. I am now thinking about the next ABCD film." Remo says, "Yes, we are now planning ABCD 3. All we know at this point of time is that it has to be even bigger, in every sense, than Part 2. When we had decided to do Part 2, we had to make sure it was several times ahead of the first film. One has to keep taking the franchise forward. Or else there is no point in doing sequels." Remo is proud of the fact that he has incepted the revival of the dance genre of filmmaking in Bollywood. "Prior to ABCD, dance films had ceased for a very long time. I'd excitedly go to see so-called dance films that were released. Only to find they had very little to do with dancing. According to me the real dance films in Hindi cinema were V Shantaram's Navrang, Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje and Jal Bin Machli Nritya Bin Bijli. After these there was a lull in the genre." Unlike the other choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan, Remo will continue to choreograph songs for other filmmakers while directing feature films. But the assignments would now have to selective. "I will only be choreographing for filmmakers when I think I can so something special with a song. I am doing a song in Rohit Shetty's Dilwale because I'll get to work with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol for the first time.

Shahid Kapoor's childhood Ahmed Khan is not attending Shahid's wedding. Choreographer Ahmed Khan and actor Shahid Kapoor have had a fall-out. And the reason is Tiger Shroff. Apparently Shahid, a possessive pal, if ever there was one, did not take kindly to Ahmed Khan's exuberant and insistent endorsement of Tiger's dancing abilities. Things came to a point where Ahmed was asked to choose choreographic assignments between Shahid and Tiger. Says a source in the know, "Ahmed and Shahid have known each other from childhood. They are very close to one another. And Shahid is rightly possessive about his buddy. Earlier, they had differences when Ahmed would choose Ranbir Kapoor's songs for choreography over Shahid's. Now it's happening with Tiger. Shahid is excessively sentimental about people close to him. He has taken Ahmed's professional interest in Tiger personally." When contacted, Ahmed admitted there were some problems with Shahid. "We did have some differences of opinion. Yes, Shahid is very possessive about me. And this is not the first time we've disagreed on an issue. When two people are as close to one another as Shahid and I, there is bound to be disagreements. However, this doesn't mean we are no longer friends. We care for one another deeply. More than me, my wife and kids are close to Shahid." Ahmed says he will celebrate Shahid's wedding privately. "Shahid and his bride Mira and my family are planning a celebration. Shahid's shaadi is a very big event in my life." _____________________________________________________________________________

After decades of ‘unwatchable’ films that were shunned by audiences, Pakistani cinema finally seems to be on the road to revival and producing quality films which have garnered both critical and commercial appreciation.

Ever since the release of Khuda Kay Liye, cinema in Pakistan has seen better productions at least once a year and now it seems that the number is increasing. While we cannot match the number of films produced by our neighbour just yet, we can still happily boast of delivering multiple quality productions a year, with Shan-starrer Waar, followed by Operation 2

There’s too much happening in Lollywood and Bollywood these days. While Bin Roye and Wrong No. are creating waves in Pakistan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has Salman Khan fans super excited on both sides of the border. And while these films are yet to release this Eid, there is already talk about Shah Rukh-Mahira-starrer Raees and Salman’s Sultan clashing on Eid next year.

With the fate of Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘s release in Pakistan still undecided (rumour has it the film’s release will be delayed to make room for local films), it is now confirmed that Bin Roye will in fact release simultaneously in India as well as at least eight other countries along with its release in Pakistan this Eid.
Bin Roye’s distributor HUM Network has inked a deal with international film distributor B4U Motion Pictures to secure the release of their film in the UK, USA, India, Canada, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Sweden. The film is also expected to release in Denmark and Norway and two other countries which will soon be revealed. Also, the film’s music album is going to be available worldwide on July 6.
